Mafia Wars Dublin – Criminal Activities on the Emerald Isle, Chapter 1

Mafia Wars Dublin is the next installment in the challenge mission feature of the game. Pack your bags and hop on a plain and head for the land of shamrocks and leprechauns.

In order to enter Dublin you must add an extra mafia member. This has been prevalent in all of the challenge missions. If you add more than one you will be awarded 5 pints of stout, the currency of Dublin. Gotta love a place where beer is the currency of the area, my kind of place.

Job Heat Meter

Dublin has a job heat meter like the other challenge missions did. Each time you do a job the heat rises and as the heat rises you will need more beer to keep going. If you take a break the heat will reduce to zero in 8 hours.

4x Loot

This feature was added in this challenge mission. In essence when you complete the mastery requirement you will be rewarded with 4 of each mastery item.

Head over to the Emerald Isle to guzzle a few pints but don’t drink them all, you will need a lot of them to complete Mafia Wars Dublin.

Secret Drops and 2x Mastery

In addition to Mystery Bags, we are starting to see Secret Drops in our gift list. These seem to contain a premium item or several new boosts (Adrenaline, Slum Lord, etc.) - you can only accept a certain number per day, and you obtain them from your Mafia (and send them to your Mafia) by doing jobs.

Mafia Wars Armory

The Armory is a new New York Property that can be upgraded 10 times.  Like the Weapon Depot and Chop Shop, armors can be harvested for cash every 24 hours and, can be used to make different types of weapons.
We need to collect building materials to build and upgrade the Armory.  To upgrade your armory one level the following materials are needed: 
Hammer - 5Rivet -5Furnace - 5Vice - 5Anvil - 5Armory items can be collected by doing jobs, fighting and robbing. Every 24 hours, these parts are used to craft a new weapon. Drink Up! Challenge Mission: Dublin Offers 4X Loot

Here are four reasons to head to Dublin for the latest Challenge Mission. Quadruple.

You read that right. We're giving away FOUR times the rewards in Challenge Mission: Dublin.

If you haven't started already, travel to Dublin where your mission is to rob the National Bank of Ireland. We've changed the reward system so that you receive a ridiculously sweet reward for each job you complete. In past Challenge Missions, you were required to finish all jobs in a chapter to earn a reward. Now you'll get a chapter reward for each job you complete. So if you finish all FOUR jobs in Chapter 3, you'll get FOUR powerful Dréacht Capall (pictured left). Oh snap!

Chapter 1 reward: Irish Traveler armor (Attack 52, Defense 63)

Chapter 2 reward: Black Irish weapon (Attack 84, Defense 59)

Chapter 3 reward: Dréacht Capall animal (Attack 67, Defense 111)

You have roughly two weeks left to finish all the jobs in the Challenge Mission. You'll need to to collect enough Pints of Stout to complete your Dublin jobs. Get Pints of Stout from robbing, fighting, doing jobs, and sending requests to your mafia. You'll need a lot of Pints to master the Challenge Mission, so drink up and head to Dublin.

Dublin Chapter 2: Saturday Morning

The neat thing about Challenge Mission: Dublin has been that you get the prize for each chapter four times - each time you finish one of the jobs. So, while the setup has been the same as the Mumbai, Paris, and London challenges - with Pints of Stout substituting for Bollywood Reels, etc., there are a total of 12 decent items to win here. No more working for a week to get just one item; now you get the item (and a skill point) each time you complete a job.
The jobs progressively get "harder" in that they take more energy points to complete, have a lower percentage completion as you go, and "cost" one more Pint each time you do the harder jobs. The Heat Meter is also back, with 6 jobs allowed before you go to tan and double your energy and Pint costs. But Zynga has given plenty of time to finish each chapter, so no need to rush, unless you've fallen behind, or just want bragging rights.

Set Up Secret Drops For Your Mafia

A new feature had been found in Mafia Wars called "Secret Drops." Just like the Secret Stash, it allows players to send random, rare items and bonuses to their friends after finding a secret drop location through random activities.

FarmVille Co-Op Farming Crafting Jobs ask everyone to join hands and harvest

After releasing the update to some of its loyal farmers yesterday, Zynga has made Crafting Co-op Jobs available to all FarmVille players. These new multiplayer tasks are essentially large-scale versions of the jobs that come along with the three crafting buildings, wineries, bakeries and spas. So, if you own a winery, you will only be able to do winery related jobs, etc.

The second chapter of Mafia wars Dublin continues the tradition of using beer as consumables. Personally I have used beer as a consumable for years but never in a game. Well, at least a game in which I didn’t get to drink the beer.

Here is a quick break down for Chapter 2

Weekend Special: Free Upgrades, Super Pigñatas, and Secret Drops

1. Free Property Upgrade

It's going to be a good weekend this weekend begins with the phrase: Free Upgrade. Starting Sept. 25 at 12:00 AM PST, you will be able to upgrade any Property in any city once for free. Save your reward points for some sweet limited edition loot and take advantage of upgrading one of your new properties like the Armory in New York or Casino Fountain in Las Vegas. Or you can step up any one of your other properties once for free. Make sure to check out your properties this weekend. This offer ends Sept. 26 at 11:59 PST.

2. Super Pigñatas 

They're back. Send Super Pigñatas to your friends or ask them to send them to you. These pigs must be busted open within 24 hours in order to get super loot.

Dublin Mission: Chapter 2 - Live

It's here, Chapter 2 of Challenge Mission: Dublin, entitled "Ireland Hopping." The prize for finishing each job is the Black Irish weapon (84/59) detailed below. The first job - "Get the Money to a Waiting Jet" - gives you 9% completion per click, so you can finish it in 8 hours - 6x at the start, and 6x once your Heat Meter goes back to green.

Governor Halloran: Reelection Bid...

Here's the dispatch from Silver Level of District 8/Hoover Dam in Vegas. To employ the strategy I described yesterday, finish the energy and fight jobs EXCEPT for one fight (so you don't go to Gold), and then take on Governor Halloran for round 2 of the Boss fight. This way, you can stay on Silver Level and can do as many more energy jobs as you want - now for 39 energy points each, instead of 19, while picking up more and more District 8 loot (and a better Halloran's Helicopter).

Mafia Wars Tips and Secrets: Fight Often

Before going into fights, research your opponent before pressing the attack button. Just do a quick run through to see how powerful the player is.

• First, look at the size of the player’s mafia. I always tried to attack players with nearly the same size or smaller mafia as I have because more members means more weapons that will be used against you.

• Second, look at the number of jobs, which will give you a sense of the player’s experience and how his profile points are distributed - the higher the number, the higher the probability that their attack and defense is strong. I usually attack players with about the same amount of jobs completed or lower.

• Third, look at the number of wins and losses that your prospective opponents have. A higher loss to win ratio offers you a better chance of defeating them.

• Forth, quickly browse through the player’s weapons arsenal. If you see that they have much stronger weapons than you or a large quantity of stronger weapons, it is best not to attack them.

• Fifth, look at the player’s properties to get an idea of how much money they possess and how much they can be robbed. Gaining money from attacks is good but not always necessary. Winning attacks earns you experience points at a fairly steady pace without wasting any energy. Often times, I will earn a few hundred thousand dollars off of an opponent and then keep earning experience points after they are broke.

Once you find a good candidate to attack, test them out with an attack. If you lose the first fight, move on to another player to attack. If you win the first attack, take advantage of it and repeatedly attacked them until you are out of stamina or you lose a fight. It’s unrealistic but, mafia wars lets me win repeated attacks on a player and then suddenly gives me a loss; I haven’t figured out why.
If you keep winning attacks against a player and you run out of health points, keep theattack window open until you earn more health points. I usually open a new window or tab to the game where I can restore my health and deposit money or do jobs without interfering with the player that I want to keep attacking. Once you earn enough stamina or restore your health, go back to attacking the player until you lose. One other thing I learned about the health points is that you can pay the doctor to restore your health with the money that is in
your bank account, so there’s no need to keep money at all in the cash box.
Create an attack list of those members that you have attacked and beaten. This way you can go back and attack them again in the future, knowing that they are probably beatable again to you. Using Mafia wars, you can’t just keep track of them or look them up later, at least not to my knowledge. Instead, right click on the name of the member and copy the link location. When you’re ready to attack again, simply paste the link location to the member’s profile into the navigation bar of your browser.
One warning, though, is that there’s always the chance of the members, we have attacked repeatedly, will seek revenge at some point. Either they will grow stronger and attack you later or they can put a hit out on you using the hit list and get other stronger members to take you out. You need to weigh the factors involved and, whatever you do, try not to get a really, really stronger member mad at you!

Mafia Wars tips and secrets: Keep a Zero Cash Balance

Before going into fights, always be sure to deposit all of your cash into the bank. Other
players can attack you at any time, so it is a good idea to keep a zero cash balance most of
the time and especially before signing off. If you don’t, other players will fight and rob you.
Depositing money does incur a 10% laundering fee but is very little in the scheme of things.
